“Growing up is never easy. You hold on to things that were. You wonder what's to come. But that night, I think we knew it was time to let go of what had been, and look ahead to what would be. Other days. New days. Days to come. The thing is, we didn't have to hate each other for getting older. We just had to forgive ourselves... for growing up.”
Have you ever taken a look at yourself (in the mirror probably, unless you've got a shiney piece of cutlery to hand), and thought about whether you're different to how you were 5, 10, even 15 years ago? Can you remember what you were like as a child - what did you enjoy? Who were your friends? What was your absolute faaaaavourite thing to do? When I visit home, I get the urge to rummage through all the photo albums stacked up in the study, and well, reminisce. You'd find me going 'ooh' and 'aaah' at snaps, as they remind me of memories, both good and bad. Sometimes, I think its refreshing to look back and see how far you've come, and encourage you to reflect on where you are now, and finally, where you're heading. Are you still you?
To continue the theme of growing up, and all those crazy ins and outs (cliched, but still true!), take a look at these snaps I snipped from stumbleupon - only the most addictive website on. the. planet. Yes nick, that was all you! yoh. Anyhoo, the pictures are of the same person reenacting poses from their chilhood. Simple, but so siiick.
chap.
